What is Kimekomi Art?
The doll is made of paulownia wood or wood, and the lines are carved into the body to resemble the creases and patterns on the clothes.
Inspired by the technique of traditional dolls (Kimekomi dolls), in which the edges of the cloth are pressed into the grooves with an awl to make it look like the doll is wearing a costume,
New artwork created using unique techniques.
We carefully fill in each piece little by little without using any adhesives such as glue.
In addition, my works mainly use recycled polystyrene foam, fabric from old clothes, and sample fabrics from the clothing manufacturing process.
